పంటకోత – నిల్వ

కాయలు ఎండిన తర్వాతనే కంది పంటను కోసి కట్టెతో కొట్టి కాయల నుండి గింజలను వేరు చేయాలి.

నిల్వ చేసేటప్పుడు పురుగులు ఆశించకుండా ఉండేందుకు బాగా ఎండ బెట్టి, బూడిద కాని, వేప ఆకులు గాని కలపాలి.

Harvest -Storage

The Redgram crop should be harvested after the seeds have dried and the seeds should be separated from the shell by beating them with wood.

To prevent insects from invading the nuts during storage, they should be dried well and mixed with ash or neem leaves.

కల్తీని కనుగొను పద్దతి - కంచెం కందిపప్పుని ఒక పరీక్షానాళికలో తీసుకొని 50 మి . లీ సజల హైడ్రోక్లోరికామ్లమును వేసి కలిపి 10 ని. లు సేపు ఉంచండి.

పరీక్ష నాళికలో ఎరువు రంగు కనిపించినట్లైతే కేసరిపప్పు కల్తీ ఉన్నట్లు తెలుస్తుంది.

Diseases (or) damages caused - Paralysis

Method of detecting adulteration - little amount of redgram is taken in a test tube and 50 ml. L. of aqueous hydrochloric acid is added and mixed for 10 min.

If the test tube shows a yellowish color, it indicates that the saffron is adulterated.
