ప్రత్తి, మిరప, పొగాకులకు ప్రత్యామ్నాయంగా అలాగే సజ్జ, జొన్న, మొక్కజొన్న, పెసర, సోయాచిక్కుడు, వేరుశెనగ లాంటి పేర్లతో అంతర పంటగా కందిని ఖరీఫ్ లో పండించవచ్చు.

నీటి వసతి ఉన్న ప్రాంతాలలో కందిని రబీలో కూడా పండించవచ్చు.

Suitable seasons for cultivating Redgram

It can be grown in Kharif as an alternative to cotton, chilli, tobacco, and as an intercrop under the names of sorghum, maize, greengram, soyabean, and groundnut.

In areas with irrigation facilities, it can also be grown in Rabi.
